The Manner of Haiku No.1 the words of season, “Kigo”

         Haiku has a lot of manner.

         “Kigo季語” also is the manner of haiku.

         What is “Kigo”?

         “Kigo” is the words of season.

         For example cherry blossom is the spring of words of season.

         Haiku basically includes the words of season.

         Japanese haiku writers have “Saijiki”.

         Put in simply “Saijiki” is dictionary about the words of season.

         “Saijiki” defines the words of season in Haiku.

         However I think that If you write haiku, you don’t necessary know “Kigo”.

         I only use the words of season, It’s no problem.

         I made haiku about Shonan.

         Shonan is around Kamakura city.

         Season in the sun blossoms naked Kings

         太陽の季節に咲いた裸の王

         Taiyo no kisetsu ni saita hadaka no ou

         The haiku devotos conservative politician Shintaro Ishihara.

         He was from Shonan.

         He wrote novel “Season in the sun”.

         Japanese title is “Taiyo no kisetsu太陽の季節”.

         Season in the sun is not “Kigo”.

         But season in the sun is felt summer.

         That’s because I choose this word.

         Let’s try write haiku.

         If you can write, include the words of season.
